Sometimes it can be really hard to have a meeting via video conference. We don’t always have the facilities, sometimes the equipment isn’t working properly, or we just don’t have the know how to operate the video conference system. It can be such a hassle to set up, that most of the time we just don’t bother. Thank goodness for mobile devices and Skype! It might be a lifesaver, but it’s really only fit for one person at a time. Trying to cram in more than one is always a struggle. When it comes to group meetings this brings us to the question; Why is it so important to see your clients body language?
Any good behavioural expert will tell you that body language is key to knowing how a person really feels. In a business environment, especially in a B2B relationship, we are at the mercy of how our clients feel. After all, our sole goal is to make them happy and keep them coming back time and time again. So obviously it’s extremely important to be able to tell if your client is happy, or if there is something on their mind before the need for them to tell you directly becomes very awkward.
We don’t live in an ideal world and it’s not always possible to do meetings face to face, especially when companies doing business globally has become the norm. We have a need to keep costs down and sales up. Remote meetings may be second best, but they can still be very rewarding. It just comes down to maximising your communication and for that we need to be able to read our customers as best as possible in non-ideal conditions. Like I said, mobile devices such as laptops, smartphones and tablets, make video conferencing great for one on one. But how can we improve the field of view so that we can continue with remote meetings in a flexible and fluid way, when it’s more than just one person on either side?
The answer is the Evoko Groupie, a super streamlined lens that sticks on to any device, immediately expanding the field of view to fit your team and everyone’s body language in the picture. It’s small enough to fit in the palm of your hand so you can take it pretty much anywhere! The wide-angle lens never loses it’s stick as it uses micro suction instead of glue. If the room is a bit dark then just switch on the 8 LED lighting bar to illuminate the picture.
With the Groupie you will be able to read your clients body language and they will be able to feel like they are almost meeting you and your colleagues in person. This will inevitably help steer you in the right direction to make that sale, keep your client feeling satisfied or just help build a stronger relationship.
Evoko is all about making meetings magnificent, having products that work well with the people that use them is key to how we have become a leader in the video conference world. A fact we are super proud of and strive to build on….always!
